Marist Auckland Waterpolo

TRIBUTE TO ROS HUNT

12.07.2007 It is with much sadness that the Marist Water Polo community learnt of the passing of Ros Hunt on Tuesday. Ros - as many of us knew - had been diagnosed earlier this year with a terminal illness.

She was a wonderful wife and mother to John, Melissa, Tim and Jeremy and a tremendous supporter of the Marist Water Polo Club and the Glendowie College programme for which she strove so hard. Her proudest moment was seeing Glendowie qualify for the Schoolboys Nationals in 2006.

She was the mainstay behind the initial Marist Under 12 programmes and her trips to Tauranga were always a delight for the many children and parents who went on them. Her sense of service was a quality that shone from Ros and already is bearing witness in her son Tim as he becomes involved in coaching and refereeing.

She will be sadly missed and we all send our love and condolences to John and the family and pray that Ros will remain in spirit with them throughout this time of sadness and the years ahead.
